Each format mirrors the scope and underlying process of its exam's framework — the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting, the CMS Deductive Tasting Grid — while following Curate's own design language; it is visually distinct from the documents those organizations provide. Study Reports — the analytics layer: conclusion accuracy on variety, region, and vintage; pacing by section; your exposure across exam-relevant wine styles; and a history of every session. See The Sommelier Dashboard.

The formats' color and iconography are deliberate, too: each section and descriptor family keeps a consistent visual identity, so repeated practice builds a mental map of the deductive process alongside the palate work.
Every plan also includes the Insights Concierge — a bespoke manual review of your practice record, requested once your library holds around thirty blind tasting notes and delivered as a short written analysis with interactive visualizations, usually within a few days. What It Is — and Isn't
Curate for Sommeliers covers the Tasting portion of the exams. It is not a complete exam-prep solution: CMS candidates still prepare for Theory and for Service elsewhere, and WSET candidates for Theory. Within tasting, Curate analyzes — it does not teach or coach. The reports surface what your practice record shows; what to do with that is the candidate's, and the educator's, craft. No tool can promise an exam result, and this one doesn't try.
How a Practice Session Runs
Configure — from the Sommelier dashboard, choose the target certification and wine type, set the Variable Timer if you want exam pacing, and switch on recording if your plan includes it. See Setting Up a Blind Tasting.
Taste blind — work through the format's cards — sight, nose, palate and structure, conclusions — exactly as deeply as the exam expects.
Conclude — call the wine: variety, origin, vintage, quality, as the format asks.
Review — reveal the wine, link your note to it, and let the session join your Study Reports.
