The Curate app opens onto a home view that reads your tasting library back to you, with everything else one press away in the header. This page is the lay of the land.
The Home View
Signed in, the home view greets you by name and surfaces what your notes add up to:
Your Tasting Breakdown — the shape of your library by wine type, alongside your most-recorded styles and regions.
Your Most Frequent Descriptors — the aromas and flavors you reach for most; a portrait of your palate in its own words.
Featured Pairing — an editorial food-and-wine pairing.
Soil Side-by-Side — a comparative look at wine-growing soils.
Vintage Report — a look at a vintage.
New members — and guests — see a Getting Started card instead of statistics: one tab walks the everyday flow (start a note, specify the wine, build, grow the collection), the other introduces blind tastings for sommeliers.
The Header
From left to right, the header carries the app:
Wines — the shared wine library in Curate. See Finding Wines.
Sommelier — the Curate for Sommeliers dashboard. See About Curate for Sommeliers.
Search — the global wine search, for looking up any wine and the public notes members have shared on it.
Add Tasting Note — a new note at your choice of detail level, from anywhere in the app.
Your account menu — settings, preferences, and sign-out. See Account & Sign-In.
Guests see Sign In and Create Account in place of the account menu.
Take a Tour
The home view's Take a Tour button starts a guided walkthrough — two to three minutes, arrow keys welcome — that moves through the tasting note builder card by card, opens the Aroma Wheel, demonstrates Quick Selections and the Editor Panel, and finishes at your tasting library and wine search. It's resumable from the home view any time, and worth a pass even after you know the app: it touches corners that everyday use may not.
Orientation Tooltips
Orientation Tooltips are inline hints attached to the builder's controls — what a field is for, how a control responds — shown while the interface is still new. They're governed by a preference (defaulting to Automatic) in your account settings, and can be toggled per note from the builder's Tools menu. See Preferences & Taste Profile.
